Privacy Policy

Viewport ("the App") is a desktop application for scheduling and publishing a creator's own video content to Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, and for reviewing how that content performed. This policy explains what data the App handles and why.

Who this applies to

This policy applies to people who install and use the App to publish their own content. If you are reading this because you saw a post published through the App on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, this policy does not apply to you — see the relevant platform's own privacy policy.

What the App handles

• Video files and captions the user uploads in order to schedule a post.
• Publishing status of those posts, and the public performance metrics of them (views, reach, likes, comments, saves, shares, watch time, skip rate) retrieved through each platform's official API.
• Authorisation tokens for the social media accounts the user connects, used solely to publish on the user's behalf and read metrics for the user's own posts.
• An email address and password, where the user creates an account to use the App.

What the App does not do

• Does not collect data about the audience or viewers of published content.
• Does not sell or rent data, or use it for advertising or profiling.
• Does not access any social media account the user has not explicitly connected.
• Does not use uploaded content for any purpose other than publishing it as the user instructed.

Storage and processing

Uploaded videos, captions, metrics, and authorisation tokens are stored in the App's database and used only to operate the features the user asked for. The App relies on third-party infrastructure providers to run — database hosting, publishing intermediaries, and the AI service that drafts captions from the description the user writes. Those providers process data only to deliver the App's functionality, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept while the user's account is active. A user can disconnect any social media account at any time, which immediately revokes the App's access to it, and can request deletion of their account and associated data by writing to the address below. Deleting a post inside the App removes its stored video and caption; content already published to a platform must be removed on that platform.

Your rights

Users may request a copy of the data held about them, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Requests can be sent to the address below.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
